I get it, some people love canvas function calling, and yes, I get it, I can turn that off in the personalization settings.
But, since I can’t create multiple profiles for personalization, I’ll have it turned off for certain tasks and use cases.
It is absolutely the worse when it starts using it despite me asking it not to. I makes so I can’t use other models (such as o1-pro).
It would be such an easy fix to just ask if i want to use Canvas and give me two buttons: ‘yes’ or ‘no’.
Even after quickly clicking “answer in the chat instead…” it sometimes goes back to using canvas the next prompt. and even if I do click the “do it in the chat” option it breaks the option of using other models.
If this could be taken into consideration on the feature roadmap I would be very happy. Thank you for reading.
