Option to enable automatically read aloud for all responses

Hello! First off, thank you to the devs and the community for making chatGPT so useful. Your hard work is appreciated.

I wanted to propose the option to enable the “read aloud” feature to be set to always trigger for newly generated outputs. This would be a nice option for times when I want to experience a more natural conversation, but don’t want to use the voice mode.

Edit: After some more searching I just found a few other instances of people suggesting this feature. Neither of them have any responses currently. I will let the admins determine how to proceed; whether to merge the threads or not.

Edit 2: I actually discovered that pressing the button to the right of the audio-form when a message is being read manually pops up a small notification saying “new messages will be read aloud”. I was hopeful that this would enable exactly the kind of functionality that I’d described in this post, but it seems to have done nothing. Maybe this is an incomplete implementation?

came to suggest the same option, not only for visually impaired users as a primary reason, but also for those, like me, who don’t fully understand things by just reading to make things less tedious to have to press the button each time.
