Several questions here around their Content Policies (CPs):

1. Why does OpenAI (OA) censor words or phrases like “tug of war” and “make out”? Tug of war being a kids game, and make out as in “make out in the distance a shadowy figure”.
2. Why does OA censor things that are not illegal? Topics that violate the CPs include:
   ** Management or operation of critical infrastructure in energy, transportation, and water
   ** political materials
   ** Migration and asylum
3. Why are people defending OA’s content moderation policies?

For context, Salesforce and others are considering expanding their partnerships with products like EinsteinGPT and other platforms. Many of these censored topics are part of massive industries, and I only chose 3 of the censored items.

If us partners need to spend time and developer hours learning, creating, and deploying applications for a platform that actively hates its users, why should we even make the investment into OpenAI? Why not put our time into actual open platforms? OpenAI perhaps has benefits with being the platform with the most notoriety, but our clients don’t know AI. It would not be a challenge to sway them onto another platform.

Lastly, defending a company that loses half a billion dollars in a year is ridiculous. Maybe these are fake accounts by OA but the constant clamor of “it’s a privilege, not a right” to use their censored services is laughable. If these are real people, they are not actual developers and will not contribute to OA’s bottom-line. If OA wants to stop hemorrhaging money, we need them to provide context ASAP into the CPs and why they would be good for business when there are other platforms that are far less restrictive. I don’t want to lose money with them, and I’d like to know if I need to put our resources into other solutions if nothing will change for the foreseeable future. Platforms like Salesforce set a direction, but not the end-goal. Partner adoption determines success.

Try pruning your prompt a bit… it can’t make “optimized for the internet” for example, and size is baked in… try to get your prompt to JUST what you want… and let us know if it still doesn’t go through for you… I’ve not been able to trip it here, though…
