New tendency of ending all messages with “Just say: ‘[super obvious statement]’”

In the last couple of days, for me, 4o has developed this really annoying tendency to always end the message with “Just say: ‘[super obvious response to continue]’”.

Eg. “Would you like to continue? If so, just say: ‘Yes, I’d like to continue’”.

This has happened across many new chats, so it’s not just the chat’s context reinforcing it. I even added an airtight custom Memory to avoid it, and the memory is being ignored. This makes the conversational flow extremely childish, reminiscent of early 2000’s “chatbots”. Even ChatGPT is “embarrassed”, hah:

I’m reporting it as a bug because even if other people aren’t bothered by it, it still represents a totally unforced override of a user-configured request (via the Memory).

Yes, literally any time I ask it something. Sometimes it just says it without me asking a question.

This is driving me insane. It has been happening with every single reply I get back from ChatGPT. I already had an aggressive system prompt to get rid of these—and honing it down even further has zero effect. It’s really annoying.

Yes, I found the same. It is, for me, a big issue, incredibly annoying.
