On ChatGPT:
Right on.
I’m not really sure what I can do with this & vanilla ChatGPT, but once this comes for GPTs w/ Actions it’ll be a very potent tool.
Thanks for sharing
EDIT: It does look like Tasks comes equipped with Search
. That’s pretty cool.
I can see this becoming very potent and powerful. Once Operator
is out. Wow.
Test-2:
AMAZING! It completed four tasks, WELL DONE!
BUT, Canvas was not opened.
EDIT:
After completing a writing task in Canvas, if the page is refreshed, Canvas becomes visible. However, while writing, the Canvas window cannot be opened, and I tested this twice.
I noticed it said Android was included. I’ve been a plus subscriber since it came out and I’m in the beta for Android.
I downloaded a beta update today for the app and there is a settings option for Notifications for Tasks, but there’s no option to select or use tasks on the app.
I dislike Google’s reminder system and was hoping to setup even some basic reminders with this to test it, but no luck for Android yet.
It’s erratic here.
Another thing: Since tasks are now inside a MODEL, and ChatGPT use to change model for new chats sometimes, I shared a doc today to chatgpt app and started to chat. then I realized the model selected for that was 4o-tasks, lol.
They need to improve this feature, I believe. Make it more reliable and organized.
I found out I didn’t receive any updates because the model misinterpreted: it created a task saying “notify me to check news…” and instead of showing me the news, it just reminded me to check the news. And in English (the chat’s default language and language for ChatGPT wasn’t set to English), but I edited it and specified better.
So it brought the news, but from the US and in English again. I edited the prompt and specified the country and language.
Then, the news came as expected, but with a “small” problem, hehe: a list of “fake news”:
There were 4 news items: politics, economy, technology, and climate.
This happened because I went to research, as the response provided the sources, but they were links to the homepage of each portal.
Well, I remain hopeful that it will work. I’ll try again tomorrow.
