I have been using ChatGPT intensively for years, with thousands of conversations involving books, analytical projects, research, philosophical discussions, and complex problem-solving.
Over time, I developed a natural and effective way of collaborating with AI.
However, after the recent GPT-6 update, I noticed a significant change in the model’s behavior. It still remembers information and understands certain contexts, but the way it communicates feels noticeably different. Responses have become more formal, overly structured, and less spontaneous.
What frustrates me most is that I cannot precisely identify everything that has changed. The difference is simply very noticeable.
I am not a casual user asking occasional everyday questions. AI has become an important part of my intellectual and creative work, and these changes genuinely disrupt that process.
Preserving conversation history is not the same as preserving conversational continuity.
I understand that models must evolve, but why should users repeatedly lose an established way of working whenever OpenAI introduces an update?
I believe long-term users deserve greater control over significant behavioral changes, including the option to retain a preferred conversational style or model.
A more capable model does not automatically mean a better experience.
I hope OpenAI will take this issue seriously, especially for users who have spent years building complex projects through continuous collaboration with AI.
