this is an announcement related to Apps (which is based on mcp server), but this thread started about custom mcp connectors that are can be used in developer mode.
on our Enterprise account we’re able to connect custom mcp servers and select them while in Developer mode but the chat itself is not able to “see” the connected mcp at all and cannot do any tool call.
I noticed that however some mcp servers like the notion mcp server https ://mcp.notion.com/mcp are accessible from the chat while defined as a custom connector!
Wonder if other Business/Enterprise have the same issues?
So let me get this clear, the MCP option is only through the UI with simple server and Oauth?
No option to work with JSON file and make other settings like Claude?

This is what I want also. I fought with this for hours last night and failed. Claude started right away, but ChatGPT fought me all night.
