Let one dot access multiple authorized computers

I use my local Mac while I’m working and have an always-on home computer for when my laptop is offline. I’d like my dot to use either machine without repeatedly disconnecting one and connecting the other.

I’ve paired the home computer through Codex Remote, but it still doesn’t appear as an available computer for my dot. Please let dots access authorized Remote computers, with per-device permissions and a preferred computer/fallback setting.

I’d like this too. I work across a workstation and a separate machine for local AI tasks. Please let both stay authorized and available to the same dot, with a clear choice of which computer each task runs on, without disconnecting or reconnecting either one. Independent per-device permissions and controls to pause or revoke access would make it clear what the dot can use on each machine.

I’d like this too. I have a personal computer and a separate work computer, each with an existing “General” chat coordinating its projects.

I want one dot to manage goals across both, delegate to those existing chats, and follow progress without me having to relay instructions. The current one-computer limit means switching access whenever the work moves between computers. This is super cumbersome and adds a lot of friction.

Being able to authorize both computers and choose which one a task uses, with separate permissions for each, would make this much more useful as a personal assistant.

Is multi-computer access planned, or is there a supported way to handle this today?

Thank you!

I think this is a great feature request.

As an idea, how about giving the main dot remote desktop access from a main machine?

Here’s another approach:.
Set up codex remotes and have one codex control them while the dot is in charge of main.

I like that dot has its own computer. Adding access to an authorized remote machine would let it use setups like Xcode/TestFlight and custom plugins too. Ideally, I could ask dot to use my always-on home machine from my phone, even when my local laptop is off, without needing the laptop as a bridge.

I would find this useful too. I work with a Mac and a second computer, and in my experience I currently have to switch the connection when I want my dot to work on the other machine.

Please allow one dot to keep multiple explicitly authorized computers available. It would be helpful to select the computer for each task, manage permissions separately for each computer, and see whether each one is online and authorized.

This would make it easier to continue work across my own devices without repeatedly changing the connection. Thank you for considering it.
