Issue with Chinese Input Method Compatibility in ChatGPT on macOS

I am experiencing an intermittent issue with the GPT Desktop application on my MacBook Pro (macOS 15.2) when using the built-in Chinese Pinyin input method. While typing Chinese text, the ongoing spelling (Pinyin) does not appear correctly inside the input box, and I am completely unable to input any Chinese characters into the box. This issue occurs only in the desktop app; I do not encounter it using the web version, where the Chinese input method works fine.

Not only Pinyin, Zhuyin(注音) and RIME(中州韻) input methods have the same issue.

Hi, this happens to me as well.

What I found that it works normally when I am not using the “Search” mode, but right after I enabled search mode this situation occurs.

This is very annoying as I am not able to input Chinese at all.

Same issues.

Chinese input methods work properly in the browser, such as wechat and Sogou. However, they become invalid as soon as the sidebar(Ask ChatGPT) is reached, and only English input is available (even though I am currently in Chinese input method mode).

This problem requires going to another place strangely to activate the Chinese input method and then returning to the sidebar to use the Chinese input method correctly (with a probability of failure).
