I’ve noticed an issue with how ChatGPT applies bold formatting when using quotation marks, particularly in Korean.
When I use bold syntax together with quotation marks and immediately continue with the next word without a space, the bold effect does not apply correctly. Instead, it displays as **””sentence”**sth rather than properly rendering in bold.
In English, there is always a space after quotation marks, so this issue doesn’t occur. However, in Korean, it is common to continue the sentence without a space after quotation marks. Since ChatGPT does not account for this difference, the formatting doesn’t work as expected when writing in Korean.
Would it be possible to adjust the formatting logic so that bold text renders correctly even when there is no space after quotation marks in non-English languages?
