Is there an official limit on the number of tools one MCP server can provide in the Apps SDK? If not official, what would be an acceptable maximum number?
We have about 20+ tools, no issues so far. What limit we’ve encountered is a character limit per tool description, and that is about ~19700 characters.

As far as I’ve seen, there isn’t any fixed limit on how many tools an MCP server can have. People are running quite a lot of them without problems. The only thing you really need to watch is the size of each tool’s description — that has a character limit. Other than that, you can add as many tools as your setup can handle.
