I’ve been a paid user since the beginning and at no-point have I ever gotten access to new tools early. Last month I used deep research a lot and although it’s great for outlined content, it’s still awful when it comes to meeting academic standards of citation, quotes, etc. I’ve also used PRO on a friends account and there was absolutely zero difference in quality between PRO and standard users when using deep research. Moreover, regardless of either, If i upload a pdf book and ask it to find quotes, it fails remarkably. Even if I give it the exact paragraph and page number to extract quotes, it still fails over 50% of the time.
The worst part is though, sometimes you just straight up get rejected from doing any deep research. For example, my allowance for the month reset yesterday and today with my very first deep research prompt was rejected and I was told I needed to use a lighter version, which isn’t even working.
This is very frustrating and at what point is this just a pay more scam?
