Introduce yourself! 😊 ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

I’m Bennett Parry (known online as Darcschnider),

Designer and architect of Kruel.ai — a memex-inspired AI system I began developing in 2018 under the name Project Omnipotence before rebranding to Kruel.ai in 2021.

My background spans electrical and mechanical systems, industrial automation, sensor engineering, IT, data analytics, machine learning, neural networks, computer vision, generative models, autoencoders, ontology design, and graph data science.
During the day, I work as a consultant troubleshooting complex issues in industrial environments and as a full-stack developer building software interfaces for machines and automation systems. After hours, I focus on advancing AI systems, including the long-term evolution of Kruel.ai.

About Kruel.ai

Kruel.ai began as an exploration into AI memory systems that could learn continuously in real time without retraining. My goal was to design an AI capable of understanding mistakes, forming long-term knowledge, and reflecting on past experiences in a way that mirrors how humans grow cognitively.

This work was driven in part by personal motivation: witnessing memory loss and cognitive decline among people I care about. The challenge of dementia and age-related memory issues inspired me to build a system that could preserve memories, contexts, and experiences across a lifetime, functioning as a trusted companion that evolves with the user.

Equally important was accessibility. I wanted an AI system that could operate reliably, affordably, and entirely offline, capable of handling multimodal reasoning without relying on cloud services. By 2023, Kruel.ai achieved full offline capability, with a framework that anticipated the emerging hardware landscape. Today, the system runs on NVIDIA’s DGX Grace-Blackwell architecture, aligning with the direction we predicted years earlier.

I love all things AI

Community & Vision

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many of you at events, online communities, and here in these forums. With Kruel.ai now publicly documented — including a multi-year development history shared on Medium — I’m excited to continue collaborating, sharing, and learning with this community.
