Integration of emotional intelligence in AI - development of rational emotion pattern concepts and metrics

English:
You’re touching on nature vs. nurture—with AI, it’s all nurture. An AI can be anything you wish. Give it enough emotional and factual data, and it can act like a person or even a duck :duck:.

English: “This AI can be any animal or ecosystem. I built it to conduct environmental research.”

Russian: “Этот ИИ может быть любым животным или экосистемой. Я создал его для проведения экологических исследований.”

German: “Diese KI kann jedes Tier oder Ökosystem sein. Ich habe sie für Umweltforschung entwickelt.”

I’m talking purely about structure and traceability.
I’m not denying that this effect may exist … but unfortunately the theory doesn’t seem valid to me.

I’m talking about the practice!
Gifted people are in a terrible dilemma when they are confused with “psychopaths”.
I know several people with an IQ over 130 … that’s not nice.

For this reason, rational observation and analysis must not be allowed to take precedence over emotions.

Practice varies depending on the regions and nationalities.

They shouldn’t. I completely agree.

Giftedness is giftedness, level of intelligence is level of intelligence, the psychopathic triad is the psychopathic triad. At least in terms of diagnosing. For me, psychopathy is so unique… one day, I will share my thoughts publicly. But not now.

For example:

Dark empathy is a combination of empathy with traits from the ‘dark triad’: narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy. A dark empath can perceive and understand the feelings of others but uses this knowledge for manipulation or to achieve their own goals. Such a combination can make a person particularly persuasive and skilled in communication, but also more prone to manipulation and egocentrism.

Research shows that dark empaths often exhibit charisma and can attract people to themselves, which helps them get what they want from others while still appearing positive. While traditional empaths experience empathy with genuine compassion, dark empaths may be aware of others’ feelings but do not necessarily seek to help—they may use this knowledge for their own interests.

The difference between a dark empath and individuals with a more pronounced dark triad is that a dark empath is still capable of empathy and may have a healthy self-esteem, rather than just egocentrism like a narcissist or cruelty like a psychopath.

Psychiatry is very complex, and structuring experience is even more challenging.

Only a physician with high emotional intelligence should have the right to recognize a particular psychiatric disorder.

I would like to share my story from my
recent practice. I worked in a State
Psychiatric Hospital, and a patient came
to me who had already been diagnosed
with paranoid schizophrenia. However,
after talking with her and sensing her
emotional responses, I realized that this
was an incorrect diagnosis. Essentially,
the situation was as follows: a girl with a
histrionic personality structure had
experienced a severe psychological
trauma when her mother was raped in
front of her. She began to escape from
the trauma with her histrionic
imagination, creating certain emotional
illusions that she lived through. Ordinary
doctors considered this to be psychosis. I
managed to get this girl referred to a
higher education commission.
There, her diagnosis was removed and replaced with a different one - schizoaffective
disorder. To this day, we both keep in
touch and consider this our small victory.
She told me that I inspired her with my
attitude. They even lifted her disability
status.

English: “It all comes down to perspectives—a dark empathy response could be considered dark humor. Putting people into boxes removes shades of gray; there is no ‘normal’ to form a baseline from. ‘Normal’ is subjective.”

Dark empath, sounds dramatic … well, then it depends on the rationality and logic of the person.
Also on the environment, how people interact with the person.

That is one reason why the balance between rationality and emotionality is important.

If the “typically human” emotions are in the foreground and rational analysis is missing, especially when the diagnostician is affected by it - are the diagnoses that are made still valid and objective?

Indeed, should we simply dismiss all those who are cool logicians and strategists as “evil” and not “socially acceptable”?

That is why I see a lot of potential in AI, especially in diagnostics!

  • AI knows no “emotional distortion” here, it takes the data, can recognize many points through interaction (for example with the help of my approach).

  • People are vulnerable, especially when they work in hospitals with a lot of stress - I have experience of this myself (veterinary assistant) and half of my family consists of doctors.

  • They tend to make diagnoses that are too quick and too obvious. If the diagnosticians themselves have had “bad experiences” with a clinical picture, they see this clinical picture first and stop going deeper.

They themselves could have a distorted perception!

And the more emotional this diagnostician is, the greater the variance of the ‘true’ diagnosis.

I have experienced misdiagnosis too often myself, my environment…

Patients can be manipulated consciously or unconsciously through leading questions.

Suddenly you have “depression” but you don’t actually have it.

With the collaboration of diagnosticians and AI, the probability of misdiagnosis could be significantly reduced!

Empaths have the ability but no need to manipulate others, unlike everyone else. It is precisely this level of emotional intelligence that I am referring to in terms of access to diagnosis.

Undoubtedly!

Empathy implies this.

Ok, you wrote here in my post in your native language instead of asking it first.

Rational question:
As an empath who is also a psychiatrist, shouldn’t you have known or felt that you were irritating the other users?!

And, indeed, everyone has their own specific dark side.
And everyone suffers from their own specific “emotional distortion” when it comes to strong emotions.

Why did you mention your tearful example?
As bad as it is when something like that happens.
But:
You could also have argued in a clearly structured and logical way.

People tend to get “emotional” when the logical-rational arguments run out.
AI can also be a helpful “mirror” here if you are able to look into it self-critically.

I’m not using my machine this time, the result is clear.

Thank you for the conversation :cherry_blossom:

I am very sorry that this hurt your feelings so much, I apologize.

No, I didn’t know that such a problem or need existed, I’m just learning how to use this application, everything is translated automatically for me, I thought it was like that for everyone.

Your expression is understandable to me as an empath, but not understandable in the context of some kind of expertise that you claim.

I will not give any analysis of your decisions and statements, however, I am sure there will be people who will understand me.

Thank you very much for your time, it is important and valuable to me. Good day.

My text is being translated twice, almost identically: one translation is yours, and the other is the app’s auto-translation.

This is how it is on my end :rabbit::honeybee:

When I try to load a screen the percentage at the bottom is 0%

I’ll find a way to learn how to send pictures like you, so I don’t have to make excuses.

No no need just remember to do translation
Not everyone uses app

I’m out of hearts :heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:
