I’d like to request a feature that allows users to star or favorite individual chats within ChatGPT. This would help surface important conversations quickly and improve long-term usability.
Proposal:
Add a small “star” icon next to each chat in the sidebar or at the top of the conversation. When clicked:
- That chat is marked as a favorite.
- Favorited chats appear at the top of search results or in a dedicated “Favorites” filter tab.
- This allows quick access to ongoing projects, important notes, or long-form reference threads.
Why It Matters:
Many of us use ChatGPT for business, learning, and multi-step workflows. We often revisit the same 2-5 chats repeatedly. The current setup makes this clunky, especially when the chat history grows long.
A starring feature would bring productivity, organization, and efficiency to ChatGPT’s core workflow.
