I use AI professionally to produce marketing assets for clients every day.
After spending several hours comparing ChatGPT Image, Google Flow, Canva AI and Adobe Express, I noticed they all share the same limitation.
The models are excellent at creating beautiful images.
However, they don’t reliably respect technical production requirements.
For professional work, requirements like these are not suggestions.
They are mandatory.
Example:
Canvas: 1536 × 864 px
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
One single image
Desktop banner
Vehicle must remain fully visible
Portuguese text exactly as provided
Do not reinterpret requirements
If the model cannot satisfy those requirements, I would much rather receive:
“I cannot generate this exactly.”
than receive a different resolution or a different layout.
Production workflows require deterministic outputs.
Today, AI image generation behaves like an artist.
Professional users sometimes need it to behave like production software.
Proposal
Introduce a Production Mode.
Production Mode would treat technical specifications as mandatory constraints rather than creative suggestions.
Examples:
- Fixed canvas size
- Fixed aspect ratio
- Exact output resolution
- One image only
- No automatic reinterpretation
- Fail gracefully if requirements cannot be satisfied
This would make AI image generation dramatically more useful for agencies, designers, marketing teams and production environments.
