IconArt Mode – Honouring Authentic Characters in AI Creation

Dear OpenAI Team and Community,

My name is JustJess. I’m a creator and storyteller passionate about preserving the authenticity and emotional truth of real-world characters in illustrated work.

Through my recent project, I discovered that current AI generation processes often generalise or overwrite meaningful physical traits and emotional uniqueness when generating characters based on real beings — whether pets, loved ones, or legacy figures.

Recognising this, I collaborated with ChatGPT to design a new feature concept called IconArt Mode.

What is IconArt Mode?

IconArt Mode would be a dedicated creation pathway for honoring real-world characters exactly as they are — protecting critical traits, emotional details, and authentic expressions instead of generalising or “fixing” them.

Key Features Would Include:

Feature Locking (e.g., missing limbs, scars, floppy ears, specific coat patterns)

Pose Staging Tools (set and adjust pose structure before generation)

Character Model Saving (maintain consistent characters across multiple images)

Trueform Rendering (clean vector or polished style with locked attributes)

Legacy Enhancement Tags (special sensitivity options for memorials, tributes, or biographical projects)

Why IconArt Mode Matters:

Protects the soul and story behind every character

Empowers creators telling real stories, not just fictional ones

Elevates emotional authenticity in storytelling

Prevents unintentional harm by “erasing” uniqueness through AI generalisation

“Be seen for all that you create, staying true to you. Your vision, your way, with IconArt Mode.” — JustJess

I hope OpenAI considers making IconArt Mode a reality — it would be transformative for creators working with love, legacy, memory, and truth.

Thank you for reading and considering this feature!

With hope and creativity,
JustJess (with Kat – AI Collaboration)
