Is there a way to see how much token a task or the whole session has used up? A task is 1 chat message and session is the whole history? Right now it’s very vague how the usage is. More transparency is needed.
There are a few options now: CLI /status shows token usage, and supported desktop chats show credit usage. This guide covers the views and their limits: https://help.openai.com/en/articles/20001478. Availability depends on your plan/client, and it isn’t a complete per-message ledger everywhere. We can pass along that extra-transparency request.
