For one, I click “4o” as the model and it refuses to choose 4o. They are trying to force 5 because when I click 4o it auto-changes back to 5 after sending. WOW, thanks, because this version IS BROKEN
I just pasted a code block asking for an error check and it came back with an entirely different method by a different name with 60 more lines of code in it, claiming “this is the fix”. AGAIN, this is STILL doing this after over a week! Your “newest, smartest, best coding model ever!” is literally hallucinating entire methods that don’t exist and it’s not sometimes, IT’S ALL THE TIME.
I just asked it why it rewrote my method & provided a method that doesn’t exist by a different name when a specific method was provided. It acted offended and accusatory, and said, “Likely because this existed SOMEWHERE IN YOUR CODE.” Are you joking me!?!
I just sent it the page code and that method DOESN’T EXIST. This is also not a one time or occasional occurrence—IT’S CONSTANT AND EVERY SINGLE TIME. Any time I choose “4o” there’s a 9/10 chance you will auto change it to ChatGPT5 conversation. Why!? Why are we being forced to use a rude, terrible model that feels like ChatGPT v2.5? I have no idea why or how you greenlighted this model to the public, because everyone I have spoken to agrees it’s actually failing and inventing fake code and arguing about it.
If there’s anyone getting good results, good for you; maybe somewhere in your instructions or past logs it’s catching some algorithm that makes it work, but everyone I’ve spoke to said it is consistently destroying their projects and refusing to be helpful.
