It is possible now using the Responses API
Yeah, it seems new models with search capabilities are now available through the API.
But their price is very high ($30+ per 1k searches).
This is somewhat similar to Google’s Gemini Grounding feature ($35 per 1k searches).
Therefore in our case, Perplexity.ai is still the most cost-effective one ($5 per 1k searches).
