Hi ChatGPT Team,

I wanted to propose a new feature that I believe would significantly enhance the user experience for ChatGPT: the ability to highlight text within responses.

Feature Description

The Highlight Functionality would allow users to select and highlight key points or important information within ChatGPT’s responses. This would be similar to the highlighting feature found in many document editing tools. Once text is highlighted, users could easily revisit the highlighted sections later, making it more convenient to review and retain important information.

Key Benefits

  1. Enhanced Readability: Users can quickly identify and focus on the most relevant parts of the response.
  2. Efficient Review: When revisiting previous interactions, users can immediately see the highlighted sections without having to re-read the entire response.

YES! I need this!! I can kinda/sorta use the Wava Tools chrome extension to accomplish this, but it was since removed from the chrome store, so idk if it’s game over for others to use my solution. Still waiting to hear back from the folks at Weava

You can use other highlighting tools…

I’m using Raindrop myself (bookmarks + highlights) and it works with chatGPT.

Not perfect, but…!
It does the job for now. :slightly_smiling_face:
