Same issue 2 days now. What is going on?
Temporary fix i found in other post: send only a picture on an empty chat, then you can use it normally.

I am having this issue now for 2 days any ideas?
I am having the same issues, I tried all of these fix actions to see if it would help but had no luck:
- cleared cookies
- cleared browser history
- reloaded the browser
- changed the browser
- overloaded the computer
- opened a new chat
- tried it on another device
- tried to enable VPN (I have it turned off) on different devices
- tried to connect from another Internet
- logged out of chat.openai and logged in again
I have the same problem… it’s sad that the service I pay 20$ a month for doesn’t work properly.
Interesting, I am having the same issue and this fix seems to have worked for me, though something is obviously wrong on the openAI end. Hopefully the status page gets updated soon so it doesn’t feel like a niche issue for only some.
Also still have this problem.
Tried:
- Logging in and out
- Clearing browser cache
- Switching between version (3.5 works okay, only 4 is down)
- Changing customization
- Switching to other browsers and computers
Still error for the past 3 days. https://status.openai.com/ said all green, but the service didn’t work.

Same here in South Africa. Also tried deleting all my previous conversations and Safari, Firefox and Chrome. Nothing works.
