Garmin connectivity request

Please add a direct Garmin Connect integration for ChatGPT.

A useful integration would allow ChatGPT, with the user’s permission, to read Garmin data such as:

  • Completed workouts and training history
  • Pace, heart rate, cadence, distance, and workout splits
  • Training load, recovery, sleep, HRV, and other wellness metrics
  • Body weight and related health trends
  • Garmin’s nutrition and food logging data
  • Planned workouts and training calendar

Ideally, ChatGPT could also create or modify structured workouts and send them back to Garmin Connect for use on Garmin watches.

For runners and endurance athletes, this would make ChatGPT much more useful as an adaptive coach. Instead of relying on a static training plan, ChatGPT could review actual training data, account for missed workouts, injuries, illness, recovery, and changing fitness, and then adjust upcoming training appropriately.

Right now, third-party tools can provide some of this functionality, but a direct Garmin integration would make the experience much simpler and more complete.

A permission-based, read/write Garmin Connect integration would be extremely valuable.

You can do exactly this with the Tredict ChatGPT plugin which has an official Garmin API integration. It can analyze you complete Garmin training history, including sleep, HRV and so on and create entire multi month training plans base on that analysis with structured workouts that get pushed to your Garmin watch.
