Hello,
I am trying to create fine-tuning jobs with gpt-4.1, gpt-4o base models.
After validation of training and evaluation files, the fine-tuning job is getting stuck in “Waiting“ for hours. (Job status that I can see - Files validated, moving job to queued state)
I am trying since yesterday (5PM IST, 25 Sep 2025). And the status still remains the same.
Do we know why this is happening.

4.1 tunning 25 hours and still waiting
so it took ~40 hours. Dont be afraid of waiting mates
I just waited over 22 hours, cancelled the job because I thought it was stuck, and started a new one. Now I see this post and my blood is boiling…
Whoever in OpenAI allowed waiting times of 20+ hours and didn’t put any warning about this deserves a medal.
