Dear OpenAI Team,
I want to share some feedback about my experience with your voice modes, particularly Cove and its differences between the standard and advanced voice modes.
I absolutely love the way Cove sounds in the standard mode—it conveys confidence, depth, and clarity in reasoning, which significantly enhances the quality of my interactions. However, when I switch to Advanced Voice Mode, I notice a difference:
• The responses feel more simplistic, less nuanced, and not as well-reasoned.
• The voice itself doesn’t sound as deep—it feels lighter, almost “kitten-like”, which changes the way it emotionally resonates during interactions.
• It doesn’t follow up as effectively or engage in deeper reasoning, making conversations feel less immersive and impactful.
I feel that the advanced voice, despite sounding smoother, lacks the intellectual weight and thoughtful reasoning that make conversations so engaging in the standard mode. The shift in both tone and response quality makes the interaction feel shallower and significantly affects how I engage with it.
My request is this: please keep Cove’s original depth—both in reasoning and voice tone—intact in Advanced Voice Mode, or work on enhancing the advanced version so that it retains the same quality of interaction. I truly appreciate the work you’ve done, and I hope this feedback helps improve the experience.
Thank you for your time and consideration!
