Feature Suggestion: Hard-coded responses for common user inputs

As a user of ChatGPT, I’ve noticed that there are certain types of inputs that the model receives very frequently, such as “thanks,” “thank you,” or “it worked.” While ChatGPT does a great job of generating unique responses to each input, I believe that hard-coding a few common responses for these types of inputs could significantly reduce the amount of processing power required to generate a response to these common phrases. By having a pre-written set of responses for these common inputs, ChatGPT would be able to generate a response more quickly and with less processing power, ultimately resulting in a faster and more streamlined user experience. These hard-coded responses could be generated once and added to the model’s database, rather than having to be generated every time the input is received.

Of course, I understand that hard-coding responses may not be feasible or desirable for all inputs. However, for these specific types of inputs, I believe it could be a useful and practical solution. I’d love to hear the community’s thoughts on this feature suggestion. Do you think it could be a useful addition to ChatGPT? Are there any potential drawbacks or downsides that I haven’t considered?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards,
