Feature request: Replace long transcript recall with indexed semantic memory

Feature request: Replace long transcript recall with indexed semantic memory.

Store compact “seed” summaries for recurring topics, preferences, and project contexts.
Use those seeds as pointers to richer internal summaries, and only expand the relevant branch when needed.

This would reduce context-limit friction, improve continuity, and feel closer to human memory retrieval than reprocessing long chat histories.

Thanks for explaining this request: Use compact semantic memory seeds that expand only the relevant branch of richer stored context. Current public guidance in Memory FAQ documents related functionality, while the additional capability described here remains useful feedback. We can’t promise implementation or timing. We’re closing this topic while keeping it visible for reference.
