Feature Request: Pin / Highlight / Exclude Messages in Chat

I would like a feature in ChatGPT that allows users to manage specific messages within a conversation more effectively.

Key ideas:

  • Ability to pin or highlight important questions/answers so they stay easily visible during the chat.

  • Option to select specific messages and mark them as “excluded”, so they are not considered in future responses.

  • Ability to identify or tag key points within the same chat for better organization and reference.

Why this is useful:

  • Helps keep long conversations organized

  • Makes it easier to focus on important context

  • Prevents outdated or irrelevant messages from influencing new responses

This would improve usability, especially for long or complex discussions.

Hey @NigamRaam! This is a solid idea. More control at the message level, especially for pinning, organizing, or leaving outdated parts out of context, would be really helpful in longer chats.
