I’d love to have the ability to have granular permissions on a per automation basis in the Codex app, some automations I’d run should be read only for the codebase but access the internet.
For example having the agent come up with ideas for improving the codebase and creating Linear issues for me.
@joshuarileydev, totally get why you’d want that, per-automation permissions would make things a lot more flexible and safer to manage.
Right now that level of granularity isn’t supported in Codex, so permissions are handled more broadly.
I’ll make sure this gets passed along and logged with the team. This kind of feedback is super useful and definitely something being looked at.
