Ability to Reorder and Pin Project Folders and Chats that are older but frequently used. This will make it easier and faster to find chats/projects.
Right now, it seems that the chats and folders cannot be moved or pinned (or folders renamed). And they are ordered by date of creation (macbook pro). This can make organization and finding files difficult with high use users.
Reordering Projects would be useful. After all, Projects are for manually organizing chats. Manual ordering would be minimum. Ideally, provide usual sort by date, name, custom (manual reordering).
This would be helpful for me. I use my ChatGPT account for both work and personal tasks, and I have projects for different purposes, so the ability to sort them by purpose would be helpful.
It wasn’t as big of an issue when I only had 5 project folders, but I have 7 now, and 2 are only found under the meatball menu/see more. I have no control over which 2, so I can’t even bring my most used ones into the top 5 projects and relegate the rest to the meatball menu.
I have many folders. It is a pain to have to sort through all the folders. ChatGPT definitely needs to fix this issue. How hard can it be for them to allow users to drag and drop folders / projects in the order the want them. Mine don’t even show up in alphabetical order. Not that alphabetical order is a fix, it’s not. But, it would help little bit compared to being in the order of creation. I guess you can develop AI, but not a customizable list of project folders?! Anyway, if it doesn’t get corrected, as much as I’d hate to, it could definitely become a deal breaker, and find me using some other AI platform.
