I’d like to suggest a student program that gives verified university or college students two months of ChatGPT Plus access.
Eligibility could require verification through a valid student ID, university document, or a trusted student-verification service, with appropriate privacy protections.
Two months could provide enough time for students to experience how ChatGPT Plus can support real academic work, including studying, research, coding, projects, and presentations.
This could also benefit OpenAI. Instead of offering a long free period, a limited two-month program would let students experience the value of Plus firsthand. After the student period ends, some users may choose to continue with a paid subscription because they have already seen how the service fits into their studies.
A possible structure:
- Two months of ChatGPT Plus for eligible verified students.
- One student offer per eligible person/account.
- Student status verification before activation.
- Clear notification before the student period ends.
- No automatic paid renewal unless the student explicitly chooses it.
I think this could make advanced AI tools more accessible to students while also introducing future long-term users to ChatGPT Plus in a responsible and limited way.
Thank you for considering the idea.
