I’ve run out of ChatGPT/OpenAI Library storage because I have thousands of screenshots, documents, PDFs, and other files stored over a long period of time.
I do not want to delete everything, because I still actively use many of my more recent files. However, I have a huge number of older files that I no longer need.
The current options make this difficult because I either have to delete everything or manually delete files one by one. With thousands of files, manually going through them individually is not realistic.
Feature request: Please add a bulk cleanup option based on age/date.
For example:
- Delete files older than 1 month
- Delete files older than 3 months
- Delete files older than 6 months
- Delete files older than 1 year
- Or allow the user to select a custom date
Ideally, there should be a preview showing exactly what will be deleted before confirming.
It would also be extremely useful to have the same type of bulk date-based deletion for ChatGPT conversations, so users could choose something like:
“Delete all chats and Library files created before [date].”
This would solve the storage problem for users with large Libraries without forcing them to either delete everything or spend hours manually deleting thousands of individual files.
Please consider adding a bulk delete by date/age feature for both Library files and conversations.
