I’ve seen examples that work with the mentioned method.
Even a post-fix like ... and ...... and ......... wil alter the output.
But very subtle, like 3 dots = 2 people in background and 6 dots = 3 people in background.
There are no rules for this, but the more you add to the prompt, the more you alter the outcome.

Right, it works, but I wonder about how much it “dilutes” (??) the main prompt and deviates from what you want. Good to experiment, though!
Like maybe the exact prompt but change “white hat” to “red hat”…

Do not add to the prompt. n=1
And then change it to…
Use this exact prompt, “A woman with a red hat”
Do not add to the prompt. n=1
Should be same woman?

I don’t have access to ChatGPT Plus / Dall-E3 (yet), but I understood this is how it works.
The prompt you give is not only descriptive (like woman, red, hat), but also the unique hash for the diffusion model.
The system doesn’t work as simple as base 64 encoding, but let’s pretend it does.
woman red sockwil be liked29tYW4gcmVkIHNvY2s=when encoded.woman red hairwil be liked29tYW4gcmVkIGhhaXI=when encoded.
(see the differences at the end of the string?)
So you wil not only “ask” for a woman with red hair (or socks), but also create a different hash (base 64 encoded in this case, which is pure used as an example).
It is like a unique signature, which can always be reverted to “human readable text”.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. It’s odd, though, that you can still get the same models in different poses… so maybe a different “master seed” or “master hash”?
This sounds like something an AI would make up.
I tried to make ChatGPT hallucinate by giving it leading questions with misinformation…without immediate success in making it say silly things.
The concept of hashing is not typically used in the context of image generation with these models. Hashing is more commonly used in data storage, retrieval, or indexing, and it’s not directly related to the image generation process in DALL-E or diffusion models like CLIP.
In ChatGPT there is the report that you could insert “Seed: ##” (a number) and get deterministic output for the same inputs.
