Cross-agent workspace coordination for concurrent coding agents (claude + codex)

Context: I installed both apps, Codex and Claude, so I can work locally on my computer on a project. I set the Path location where both Codex and Claude have to work (simple rule: both have the same location). At the same time I give both of them the same documentation and the same context about the project. I wonder how it’s going to play out when one of them finds out about the other (one writes a file… the other deletes it…) and they become aware of each other.

What is the feature request here? What are you asking for? That’s not clear to me.

Sharing the directory and context won’t make them aware of each other. In your write/delete example, do you want them to notice afterward that the other agent changed the file, or negotiate before either edits or deletes it?

Agreed: sharing a directory or context alone does not make agents aware of each other. For a write/delete conflict, I would want explicit file ownership or a lock before editing, plus a way to detect overlapping changes afterward. Without those coordination mechanisms, separate worktrees or branches and review each diff before merging are safer. Orke’s public docs do not claim agent-to-agent awareness or conflict prevention.
