What is the issue?

When my ChatGPT usage limit is reached, a popup appears on the screen. Because of this popup, I am unable to copy the last response properly.

  • The popup blocks the text

  • It prevents selecting or copying the final message

  • I have to open a new tab and reload the page just to copy the content

Expected behavior

  • The limit popup should not block the ability to copy text

  • Users should still be able to select and copy the last visible response

  • Alternatively, the popup should be smaller or non-blocking (dismissible easily)

Suggested improvements

  • Make the popup less intrusive (e.g., corner notification instead of full overlay)

  • Allow text selection even when the popup is visible

  • Or provide a “Copy last response” button before blocking interaction

Nice callout on the problem.

Would an indicator showing that you are approaching your usage limit help here? For example, something that makes it clear when you are down to your last prompt before being blocked.

Some other AI tools I use now provide this kind of warning. I find it much better when it appears with around 25% of usage remaining, because it gives you time to plan the next few actions instead of discovering the limit only on the final prompt, or after you have already been blocked.
