Content Policies Are Stifling Original Creative Work

Hi,

I’m posting because I’m genuinely frustrated with how restrictive and inconsistent the current content policies are, especially when it comes to creative projects involving original, fictional material.

Even harmless things, like designing original characters, settings, or whimsical art, often get blocked, particularly on the image generation side. It’s confusing, inconsistent with what the text models allow, and honestly kills a lot of the fun and creative potential these tools could offer.

To be clear:
I’m not asking for an “18+ mode” or for dangerous content to be allowed. I’m specifically asking for a rebalancing — to soften restrictions on safe, original creative work. Right now, it feels like the system doesn’t trust users even with entirely innocent, imaginative content.

I understand safety has to come first. But the pendulum has swung too far. Creativity is being throttled in ways that don’t seem necessary for protection — and it’s making the tools harder (and less joyful) to work with.

Please, if user feedback matters here: reconsider where the lines are drawn, especially for fictional, user-created material. There’s so much potential being locked away for no good reason.

I really appreciate all the work that’s gone into these tools so far — I just hope future updates will trust creativity a little more.
