Until 16 hours GMT today, all my chats appeared listed on the left sidebar, and were permanently displayed, arranged by date (by days and months). That was very convenient and let me go back and forth. After that time, at first, there’s only an icon that, when clicked, shows what they consider “recent”, followed by a “…more” link. I must click on that link to get other chats listed, but as soon as I click outside the bar, everything disappears, leaving a blank and useless sidebar.
I’m running Ubuntu and have tried both Firefox and Chrome. As always, I have followed the ritual of reloading tab, clearing cookies and cache, opening ChatGPT in different containers and private/incognito mode, restarting browsers and using two different computers. Nothing changed.
It looks like there’s a new interface design. As a software developer, I can understand that, but I would have appreciated a notice and an option to disable that behaviour. BTW, the “recent” section cannot be expanded.
