The memory function on the iOS app has been inconsistent for the past couple of months. It often says memory has been updated during conversations, but later, it doesn’t recall those things when I ask, and I can’t find them in the manage memories screen. When I clear all memories, it works fine again, but the problem returns once memories start piling up. Rather than alerting the user when memory is full, it quietly fails. It would be much better if it were more selective about what it saves. I’ve seen it store insignificant details that only made sense in the context of the original conversation. Why can’t it manage memories better by compressing and discarding old or unimportant ones so it can continue working without needing manual cleanup?
I have the same issue, it states it updates the memory but does not. To that end however, it seems it can sometimes pull the memories even if they do not appear in the memory tab. It is strange, and unfortunate. As I have it writing a story and it is nearing the end of it’s chat length allowance.
