It doesn’t work, unfortunately.
Well it has to be fixed sooner somehow or later. Since Friday and maybe two weeks ago? when the memory wasn’t working at all

I have the same issue with 4o, but it does seem to work with o4-mini-high.
In 4o, I gave it something random like “Remember when you give me recipes I’m allergic to tomatoes” and it just yapped and gave me a lecture on session memory and that perm memory wasn’t enabled (it is.)
Did the same thing in 4o-mini-high and it added it without issue. 4o has been acting weird since their last blackout.
Kinda late, but I have the same problem after trying to make chatGPT keep memory of something (didn’t care about memories before), I started a temporal instance to ask there, what I got, summarized, is that some instances have memory-enable while others don’t, it’s random, there’s no visible indicator either, so try starting new chats and saving from there 
(haven’t tested it, reached the limit with the latest model, and the one I’m using can’t handle memories, I’ll update later if it works), also clear your cache, that might work, and your old, unused chats too
