ChatGPT Memory not working!

A few days ago, I received a notification about a Memory update, and I also turned on the switch in the settings.

However, after using it for two days, I haven’t noticed any Memory records.

Are there other settings that need to be adjusted for its use? Or is this part of the Memory selectively learned and incorporated by GPT itself?

Try telling it your name or age and see if that shows up in Memory as that would be what I would assume would appear there.

By saying “Record ~ in memory,” you can prompt it to record in memory.

When you want it to remember, saying “Remember ~” or “Remember the content recorded in the memory function” will incorporate it into the context.

Mine seems to have broken. All memories have disappeared and been replaced by nothingness…

I am having a similar problem.

In the last few days ChatGPT has learned my name, my date of birth, my wife’s name, her date of birth, our pets’ names, my future plans, my wife’s future plans, where we live, what we do, and so on.

Today, however, it suddenly seemed to have forgotten everything, so I went into the data management section and there only my name and my date of birth remained, everything else was deleted. Whereas before, all the data we had saved there was still there, but today somehow mysteriously decided to delete everything except my name and my date of birth.

It really bothered me because we had to go through a lot of work to teach things to it.

The new rollout has been buggy. It also has problems differentiating between your loaded Custom Instruction set and the stored memory. As bugs pop up, corrections will come.

For now, after you have trained it with whatever data you want retained, ask it: “What do you remember about me?”, download the output and save for future training.
