I sat working through a chat with chatgpt for an hour on my android phone app version of it. I had soo much info back and forth just brainstorming stuff into it. Then I opened the browser version on my macbook and I dont find it there, I check the phone app to see it still there in the history. I refresh the chatgpt app on my phone and the thread/chat just disappeared. It deleted itself.
Its not in the archives and obviously my history works with other threads/chat windows I’ve started. This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed it happen, though this was a painful one though because I worked thoroughly on the back and forth of prompts and responses for this… Work lost.
same here. it deletes a chunk of outputs it gave in the chat including my commands that i gave it - almost like selectively deleting the latest few commands
Sadly, this happened to me. I really need my project for work. Is there a solution for this? Also, all of my new conversations are being deleted automatically, so I can’t save any of them
I’ve experienced this for the first time ever 8/21/2025. Terrible. No update available; I’m looking around for other’s experiences and hoping to find a resolution posted.
