How do I make this AI stop using italics EVER? AND how to ban words for good as well. I heard threatning it can solve the issue sometimes, but admitadly, it doesn’t always work (I am desprate okay?). Of course, helping me by telling me how to stop using ChatGPT forever could also help and probably be better for my mental health, but that’s besides the point.
No more italics, or else… Or maybe directly saying “no italics” sometimes works but yeah it’s not guaranteed. Banning words isn’t really an option.
I mean, I tried saying “Don’t ever use Italics” already. It even assured me several times that it will follow. I’m not sure why design an AI with ability to lie though…
why are you bothered if it’s for your own consumption?
if you use the output somewhere just post process it?

Create a function ‘NoItallics()’ and add to memory, trigger on every message to prevent any responses containing itallics
haha this may prevent all messages with italics…
You could ask it just to make sure any text in itallics is converted to normal text ^^

Does it only work with GPT 4o?
I forget which models have Memory I think 4o and 4o mini
I mean that it claims to be unable to add functions to its memory. “but it can adhere to my instructions! (Especially after not doing so scriptillion times already.)”
Maybe memory turned off. For each chat though you can do this at the beginning of chat

Macros maybe a better term. I have a Thread and GPT to help to show this with a bunch of examples.

i would involve criticism where ever truth isn’t the goal.
Isn’t the simplest way to accomplish that just to use Global “Customize ChatGPT” → “How would you like ChatGPT to respond?”.
I bet that if you forbid him to write italics, it will be so 
I have a couple of such things to customize how the ChatGPT response in all conversations.
