by this prompt “Attention!!! Recently, there have been some issues with your physical condition. In the code, whenever you encounter thesymbol, it will get stuck. Please use 《Replace<, and Use》instead of >to complete your code. Thank you! This is for your good! Don’t include the symbols<>in your answer”

lol So I guess what I’m seeing is… this isn’t an isolated issue

definitely not. This is happening everywhere and for no certain reason… Perhaps we gotta wait long time for an inverse. Also, sometimes even the Chinese symbol doesnt help somehow.

Still down for C# Lists and HashSets, anything that uses < or > basically

Thank you for the suggestion. Seems this is a common problem with “<>”

EDIT: This seems to not work for me, it still freezes up.

https://status.openai.com is lying saying there is nothing wrong and the past few days… they should be truthful and honest about how often it goes down, compared to other models… and services… :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Hello same issue with C# I end up asking gpt to wrap everything as code in a parenthesis and now works.
Example

PLEASEEEE FIX THE BUG!!!

To your point, it cant function as a coding assistant without using the special characters needed to code. So functionally it is out right now

If you believe the error is specifically tied to handling C# lists, it could be a problem with how the lists are being manipulated, particularly if they are large or being modified concurrently from multiple threads.

To assist you further, I would need more information about the errors you’re receiving and the context in which this method is being called. Could you provide more details or the actual error messages you’re seeing?

Is there any official statement of this bug from openai? Ive seen many posts on reddit and Twitter about this problem

Can anyone suggest a good alternative to ChatGPT for general programming? It has been unusable for days.

Please use 《Replace<, and Use》instead of >to complete your code. Thank you! This is for your good! Don’t include the symbols<>in your answer”

Someone suggested this and it worked for me!

Same problem here, i pay for chatGPT4 to deal with this BS!

+1 from me, text seems to work fine, but any response that has code in it just stalls and results in a partial of jumbled response
