I would like to request an improvement in managing old conversations within ChatGPT. Deleting them one at a time is slow, and it would be more efficient to have features similar to memory management. Some ideas include:
Bulk Deletion: The ability to delete multiple conversations at once, such as conversations older than 30 days.
Integration with Memory Management: A unified interface where managing conversations is as seamless as managing memories, helping users keep their chat history organized.
These features would greatly improve the user experience and save time when handling multiple conversations.
I was going to request this same feature, but @klondikemarlen already did a great job summarizing it. Bulk deletion would be very helpful because I’m currently spending a lot of time clearing out old chats.
I would also add that it would be helpful if Archived Chats were not located under settings, but instead were accessible from the bottom of the chat list on the left-side. It would also be helpful to be able to search archived chats.
I just want to express my frustration on this topic. OpenAI PLEASE PLEASE add this feature. Especially now that we have web search function with ChatGPT there is a lot of clutter because I am doing a lot of web searches!
It is extremely frustrating to delete chats one by one. You can use different extensions but there are problems with that. Now I have to share the data with the extension developer and I don’t know if they will comply with what they are telling in the privacy policy.
Also people who doesn’t use Chromium browser have less choice at that. They can’t even access many of those ‘free’ extensions. There are even some that I have to pay to gain access to this feature.
It’s a no brainer to just being able to add checkboxes to when deleting these chats. This is extremely frustrating, please add this feature. Thank you.
