*Sorry if this is in the wrong place, i looked every where on here…
When I paste into ChatGPT (text or images), it doesn’t paste what I just copied. Instead, it pastes older clipboard content. To fix it, I have to hit Ctrl+Z then paste exactly 3 times to get the correct content to appear. This only happens in ChatGPT, not in other apps or websites.
Details:
I’ve been running into this bizarre issue when using ChatGPT:
- When I copy something and paste it into ChatGPT, it always pastes previous clipboard content instead of the most recent one.
- To get it to work, I have to undo (Ctrl+Z) exactly three times.
- This happens consistently for both text and images.
What I’ve Tried:
- Different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge—same issue)
- Right-clicking to paste vs. Ctrl+V—doesn’t matter
- Copying from various apps as the source (same result)
What Makes It Weird:
- This problem only happens with ChatGPT—pasting works perfectly everywhere else.
- It’s always exactly three undos and pastes to fix, which feels oddly specific.
My Setup:
- Windows 10, fully updated
- Browsers are all up to date
- No clipboard manager or unusual software running
Questions:
- Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
- Could this be some weird compatibility issue with ChatGPT?
- Any troubleshooting suggestions?
Let me know if you’ve seen anything like this or have any tips! It’s been driving me nuts.
