Bug: “Enter to send” toggle disappears when ChatGPT window is resized

Hi! I’m reporting a UI issue I discovered while using ChatGPT on a split screen.

When the browser window is resized to half screen or reduced (like when using split-screen mode), the “Enter to send / Shift+Enter to newline” toggle disappears from the bottom right of the input box. This causes the input to behave as if Shift+Enter is always pressed — making it unclear how to send a message.

I tested this on:

  • Browser: Chrome
  • OS: Windows 11
  • Behavior observed: The “Enter to send” hint/button is not visible unless the window is maximized.
  • I’ve also submitted this through the official feedback system.

This issue affects usability on small screens, laptops, and vertical monitors. I’m a software analyst and wanted to help improve the platform by reporting this publicly for community visibility. Hope it helps!
