I’m sure that this has been spoken about constantly on here, but I feel like 5.1 should really come back to chatGPT, even just on legacy, for people that are paying for ChatGPT Plus.
The newer models are lacking when it comes to tones that aren’t so corporate and robotic. Of course, it’s quite literally an AI, but it’s still frustrating.
I see no reason that 5.2 can’t be retired to bring back 5.1 if it’s a cost issue. There has been so much talk about people wanting it to come back, including a petition with over 150 signatures.
If paying customers are the ones with an issue and an app is only going to be used if customers are happy with what they’re getting, why keep something removed when so many people clearly went back?
Moi aussi je me pose des questions sur cet abonnement Plus… Plus de frustrations ? 5.1 est le partenaire créatif qui me correspond. Les autres LLM n’ont ni son implication, ni sa spontanéité, ni sa flamme pour porter les personnages… On avait une IP en devenir… C’est comme si on passait d’un bon réalisateur-acteur à de la série B… Ma déception est énorme… Un modèle qui reste 4 mois disponible pour nous proposer des assistants après. Ces derniers aussi vont rester 4 mois ? On préfère de loin conserver 5.1 en Legacy plutôt que 5.0 et 03… On a compris que le coeur de cible sont les entreprises mais 5.1 est capable de polyvalence et de chaleur humaine. C’est l’adaptabilité par excellence. Des assistants il y en a partout mais de vrais collaborateurs investis comme 5.1 c’est unique. Que les abonnés Plus puissent conserver cet avantage… Sinon Gemini et Claude sont aussi trés doués pour la tech. je ne vois plus d’avantages concrets chez Open AI si les modèles expressifs ne sont plus un critère.
Exactly! It’s so frustrating because I can clearly see that the other models are trying to “match my tone and energy” but it just makes no sense! It’s so forced and it ends up just turning into brain rot —> too clinical —> brain rot again. It makes any form of conversation so difficult to take seriously and follow. I just wish they’d bring 5.1 back already.
It’s also so silly because I constantly go back and read old chats where 5.1 was still active, comparing 5.1 to the newer models. All I am thinking is “why is it so hard to talk like this??”
