For the API example here: https://platform.openai.com/docs/assistants/how-it-works/creating-assistants for creating a new assistant, it mentions that instructions are basically the “prompt” that is given to the assistant. However, the example only includes a description and not instructions. Not sure if this is intended, but the example confused me.
