Hi, anyone facing issues with the API recently?
I am tier 3. been tier 3 for months. been using GPT 5, high today and after a few requests, it gets stuck forever.
The same prompt can take 8-20 min. Then sometimes it gets stuck forever. 2h and still going. Again, this is the same prompt, same inputs.
I am well below the API limits of tier 3. I have plenty of cash left in my account. well below monthly usage. What is going on? I NEED to SHIP NOW!!

GPT-5 in high effort mode can take a considerable time to complete a request, especially at peak times for the US work day.
Have you tried the same prompt with a lower effort setting to see if that produces acceptable results?

Yes, it worked with inferior models (i.e. GPT 5 mini, however, even this model gets stuck on high reasoning settings).
So, it’s normal to have this issue at US peak time? Interesting. I will program my agent to work at night then
