The 6-months OpenAI residency program is a bridge to transition into AI for researchers.
From the LinkedIn announcement:
Interested in pivoting your career into AI/ML research? The OpenAI Residency is designed to help bridge the knowledge gap for exceptional researchers and engineers working in adjacent fields like math, physics, and neuroscience. Accepting applications now.
Surprisingly, all I found was this on the residency page, which you probably saw already:
Our application process is adaptive to our business needs, so we open Residency spots and hire on a rolling basis. For updates on application openings, check our careers site and follow our social media accounts
Either the number of applicants is already large enough for them to unlist the job opening or there will be new opportunities popping up.
Thanks for sharing @vb I hope the team could make the options wider for health, neurosciences itself is not enough without a integrative view from enviromental to molecular.
Hello! I hope you all are well! I was wondering if the residency is open to scientists with synthetic biology background with a fair amount of programming skills who are extremely keen to transition into AI/ML research?
I’d like to apply. I’m a lifelong teacher but worked at outlier long enough to master prompts. I have two works in progress. 1. a small AI modelled on the human brain that can learn observationally, is multimodal and can use my computer and has an avatar for non verbal language and 2 an excel shot description to movie producer.
Closed because the Developer Community Forum is not the channel to apply for jobs at OpenAI.
Please go to the careers page and I am wishing you good luck!
